Sydney's First Day of Preschool

I really feel so very lucky to sort of fallen into our preschool.  We really lucked out getting a spot for Olivia the first year, and feel so fortunate to be able to continue with our family of teachers and friends there for Sydney.

Because Sydney has a birthday later in the year, she is younger than Olivia was when she started preschool.  My plan for her now is to go to preschool for 3 years, instead of just two like Olivia did.  My goal for her this year is to learn what it is like to be in school -- to listen to the teacher, to follow rules, and to socialize appropriately with other boys and girls.

She started school the week before last {she's only going two days a week} and did great on her first day!  We have to line up in the hall and drop them off one at a time.  She kissed me and told me to leave when we were the 3rd people in line!  She's been excited about going to school like Olivia for quite some time.

When the morning was over, and I came into the class to pick her up, she ran to me with a huge smile on her face!  I know she is in good hands at school, and I am excited for her to have this experience.

My dad texted me that afternoon and asked me how it felt to have both kiddos in school...the first word that came to mind was exhausting!  For someone who is not a morning person, it has been an adjustment getting both girls up and ready and out the door by 8:10, but so far we are doing it in style!
