Spring Breakin' It in Newport Beach

For Spring Break this year, we ventured to Orange County to spend the week with Uncle Rhino!  He had a week off for his birthday, and with David making a trip to Venezuela, the timing was perfect to spend a week away from the house with three other adults to help watch my precious little angels!

Thanks to mom and dad for driving us out and letting us trash your car!  And, thanks to me for finding the most perfect little condo to stay in on the Newport Peninsula!  And, thanks to David for footing the bill! :)

We were busy little blondes while we were there, so here's a few pictures from our first day or so in LA.

These girls thought they were SO COOL riding in Uncle Rhino's convertible with the top down!

March Madness

We had a BLAST over Spring Break -- two weeks of not waking up and getting breakfasts and lunches and rushing out the door?!  YES, please!  We spent a week in California doing lots of fun things...those posts are in the hopper.  In the meantime, here are a few miscellaneous pictures showing how we spent the rest of break {and and then some}!

Seeing these pictures makes me want to do Mod Pizza and lunch at least once a week!  Love these girls.

Olivia had been begging us to do Feed My Starving Children again as a whole family. Sydney still isn't old enough to participate, but we were able to get Nana and Poppy in on the action too.  Such a fabulous experience!

Liv and I helped Sheri do a little photoshoot for some of her clothes {I'll share more of those pictures later} and it was so fun spending the morning shooting pictures of those cuties!

She got paid in pizza!

One of Liv's favorite things to do is go to the movies with her friend, Nate.  Over break, we took the girls and Nate to see Zootopia.  It was such a cute movie and the kids all had a blast!

Three cheers for Spring Break!

Celebration of Poppy and Celebration of Learning

It just so happened that Poppy's birthday lined up with an open house at Olivia's school called Celebration of Learning.  Olivia really wanted her Poppy there with her, and being the wonderful Poppy he is, he spent his birthday with a school full of kiddos!  {Fortunately for him, we took him to dinner the night before and treated him to Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding!}

One of the dad's in Olivia's class made these AMAZING displays for their Art Masterpiece work!  They looked like something out of a real art gallery!

These girls are seriously the luckiest!  They have the greatest Poppy and it is so obvious that these girls are his world!

Happy Birthday, Poppy!

Oh, The Outfits You'll Wear {Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!}

For Dr. Seuss's birthday, we knew we wanted to have a cute outfit for the girls.  I mean, if you know me by now, you know that Mama Loves a Theme!  My friend, Sheri, and her mother-in-law have an upcycling clothing business, so they whipped up some ADORABLE leggings for the girls!  The elementary school had Read Across America on Friday, so the girls got to stretch their shirts from last year and their leggings across two days.  Sydney wore hers on the same day.  Love these little models!

The girls both got Dr. Seuss themed lunches with Hop on Pop(corn), One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish crackers, Pink Ink Yink drink, If I ran the Zoo animal shaped cheese and crackers, and some sliced strawberries and marshmallows made to look like a Dr. Seuss hat!

What a fun day!
