Children's Day in the Plaza

Yay for spring/summer outdoor festivities!  Yesterday was Children's Day in the Plaza up in SLO so we met up with Kendall and Jacob {and their parents} for a little fun in the sun.  It was a gorgeous day out and we ended up spending most of the morning and early afternoon walking around the plaza and downtown.

Olivia's favorite part of the festival was the gymnastics circuit they had set up.  {It almost makes me want to sign up for gymnastics classes again despite the gym smelling like sweaty feet.}  She had a blast running around and climbing all over the gymnastics equipment.  After awhile, the teachers cleared the mats to get ready for a performance by some of the young gymnasts.  Olivia actually helped clear the equipment from the mats and then hung out with some of the girls practicing for the performance.  She ate up all of the attention!

Her gymnastics buddy, Kendall.

We read somewhere that there was going to be a petting zoo, but the only one we could find was a Musical Petting Zoo.  My husband, aka Man Child, had a blast trying out the instruments and finally got Olivia to join him.

She even got Jacob in on the action.

We are spending the afternoon cleaning up and working on birthday party festivities since a special someone turns TWO one week from today.  Time sure flies when you are having fun!

Happy Sunday from the Central Coast!
