Birfday Celebrations

Five years ago tonight, I sat on the edge of David's bed and cried.  It was the night before I turned 30 and I sobbed.  I threw a little pity party for myself right there on his bed.  It was stupid, I know.  I knew it then, but that didn't stop me from doing it.  I wasn't engaged, I didn't have kids...I wasn't where I thought I would be by 30.

But, look at me now.  I'm married, with two BEAUTIFUL daughters.  I have a husband who, despite the fact that I practically live in pajamas, loves me and is an amazing father to our daughters.  And, as fate would have it, I get to live a few miles away from my wonderful parents.  Here's looking at you, thirty-five.

Happy Birthday to ME.

Happy Birthday my sweet, precious daughter. Oh the places you have gone and will continue to go. You are the best daughter a mother could ask for. Thanks for giving me two beautiful grand daughters. Sometimes when I look at your girls, I think back when you were that age and it brings to mind such wonderful memories. God has blessed you with a wonderful family. May you always be mindful of His goodness to you.

Love you, Mom

While the saying goes, enjoy life everyday, it is also true that the best is yet to come. Glad you had a wonderful birthday!
