♫♪Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens ♫♪

 These are a few of my favorite things...

Burt's Bees Apricot Baby Oil -- I used this a lot when Livi was younger because she would sometimes get a dry scalp.  I put a little bit of this on before I washed her hair and it would immediately be gone.  The smell of it is amazing and I know that once all of my kiddos are done needing it {even though I sometimes use it on my legs}, I will buy a bottle of it and smell it on the {probably frequent} occasions when I'll need to remember them as sweet, sweet babies.  Anyway, I pulled it out today because David was complaining that Olivia's hair smells like wet dog {GASP} after she gets out of the bath.

The Toddler Bistro book - so many yummy recipes for toddlers.  See that little pizza on the right?  Olivia and I shared that for lunch today!  {We added some spinach to those carrot shavings and it was YUM.}

Decaf Plush clothing - Ever since I missed the great sale {by probably 10 minutes} on Mini Social, I have been obsessed with this clothing line.  I lucked out and got an adorable little dress for Olivia {it won't be making its debut until she wears it this fall} off of eBay.  {Thanks Katie for the eBay tips!}  I really want this one, but am waiting until I find another sale or eBay special somewhere.

*We interrupt this program to bring you this message:  The last picture in this post may offend some of you.  I apologize in advance.  It is all in good fun.*
Back to your regularly scheduled program...

Emiliana Torrini - I found a box of my old mixes, some that I made for David and some that I just plain made, and have been listening to them lately.  Sunny Road popped up on one of the tracks and I just love, love, love that song.  You can give it a listen here.
*And DIBS on that name if we have another girl.*

Our new Ron Rogers pieces - When David and I first moved out here, we spotted a gorgeous painting in the window of the Just Looking Gallery in downtown SLO.  We really, really wanted it.  But the price tag and the fact that we were months away from having a wedding just didn't jive.  We've always loved Ron Rogers' work and the fact that we kinda fell in love with the director of the gallery and have been blessed by his friendship ever since have made us want to someday get one for our home.  Fast forward a couple of years and Ron's work was majorly discounted and we were able to pick up not one, but FIVE pieces of his work for less than the price of the original painting we liked.  This one resides over our fireplace {please, let's all have a moment of silence for that one sunflower who is on its last breath}.  We have three others in the entryway to the playroom {yes, I know I have not put pictures of that room up...patience, people!} and one is waiting to be hung in David's office.  We used to have one of David's grandma's sunflower paintings over the mantle and it now has a home in our bedroom with the other sunflower piece.

Um, this one is pretty obvious -- my sweet Livi Lou.  But, I am also loving this $5 craigslist swing.  It kept her thoroughly entertained {along with multiple renditions of Itsy Bitsy Spider, Oh Susanna, and The Noble Duke of York} while I worked on a couple of mini projects outside today.  Can I also mention that I am LOOOOVING the fact that she still takes two naps {like right now}.

And, this one here is a stretch, but I wanted to post this video.

Corn on the Cob from Amanda Michelson on Vimeo.
{It's not nearly as good as Indiana corn, but it has been satisfying my cravings for it.  Two ears of roasted corn at Avila on Friday, boiled corn on Monday and grilled corn last night.}  One of my not favorite things?  I Can't Believe It's Not Butter.  Um, I totally can.  Another of my not favorite things?  Olivia's diaper after corn.  {I will spare you the pictures, although you know I took one!}

*Remember that warning?  Here it comes!*
Happy Hump Day Wednesday from the Central Coast!

I think the swing needs a blog all to itself ;) She loves that thing!
